Connie Rose Garrison (née Blanton), aged 72, passed away very peacefully on October 28, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia. Born on July 26, 1953, in Hemingway, South Carolina, Connie was known for her vibrant energy and enduring smile.
Connie spent her formative years at Groves High School before embarking on a career as a boiler operator at Union Camp, which later became International Paper. Her strong work ethic and dedication made her a respected figure at her workplace.
A faithful Baptist Christian, Connie enjoyed singing old hymns, praying, reading scripture and watching her favorite pastors on TV. In her active years she loved fishing, shooting pool, playing poker, singing & playing the guitar, solving crossword puzzles and cherished gatherings with friends and family especially during the cool weather months.
Connie is survived by a loving family, including her children, Jeffrey and Reina Garrison; grandchildren Jordan, Jeffrey Jr., Joseph, Ashton, Emily, Lieah, Cristin, and Megan; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Billy Blanton, Bobby Blanton, Donnie Blanton, Sherril Wells, Ola Blanton, and Donna Kay Blanton, also survive her. Connie was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Jeffrey Curtis Garrison; her parents, Fenton and Lillie Blanton; her sister-in-law, Linda Blanton; and her nephew, Keith Blanton.
A memorial gathering for Connie will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel, located at 2794 US Highway 80 W, Garden City, GA, on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The family invites all who knew Connie to join in commemorating her vibrant life.
