Charlotte D. Hill

Charlotte D. Hill, a lifelong resident of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on June 7, 1948, to the late Dock B. Donaldson Jr. and Sarah Donaldson, Charlotte's roots and heart firmly belonged to Savannah, where she spent her entire life surrounded by friends and family.

Charlotte was a loving homemaker, dedicating her life to her family and friends. She was the devoted wife of the late Louis Steve Hill, with whom she shared 35 beautiful years. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home, raising their children with care and love.

Charlotte was a graduate of Windsor Forest High School. Charlotte devoted her life to her family and friendships. She attended Community Bible Church of Savannah, where her faith and love for the Lord grew. Charlotte was a selfless wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting the needs of others before her own.

She is survived by her cherished family: her son, Steve Hill, her daughter, Christy Screen (William), her brother Dock Donaldson, III (Cheryl), and her sister Susan Koss (Robert). Charlotte also leaves behind her former sister-in-law Sandra Parrot (Bill), as well as her beloved grandchildren Tristan Hill, Jessica Taylor (Michael), and Kelsey Wigley (Garrison), Kierce Screen, Sawyer Wigley, Tanner Wigley and Hope Wigley. Her family was her pride and joy, and her legacy lives on in their hearts.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel. Following the service, Charlotte will be laid to rest at Newton Cemetery in Pooler, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Community Bible Church of Savannah in Charlotte's memory, continuing her legacy of generosity and love for her church community.
