Savannah, GA - Charles E. "Charlie" Chapman, Sr., of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the age of 58. Born in Savannah on November 1, 1967, Charlie lived a life dedicated to family, friends, and his passions.
Charlie's educational journey began at Eli Whitney School and Shuman, and he attended Savannah High School. He began his career in roofing, but his passion led him to a fulfilling career as a painter with Miller Paint Company. Charlie was a member of the Savannah Area Darting Association. He had a love for sports, as he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. In his leisure time, Charlie enjoyed playing pool and darts, fishing, and bringing joy and competitive spirit to those around him.
Charlie was the cherished life partner of Ann Melvin and father to Charlie Chapman Jr. He is remembered fondly by his sisters, Beverly and Kathy, his brothers Ronnie and Donnie, his uncles, Jerry and Denny, as well as beloved pets, Smoke and Coco. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Carnell Chapman, his mother, Hazel Chapman, his son Kenny Chapman, and his brothers, Stevie, Mikey, and Dennis.
A visitation will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Following, a funeral service to celebrate Charlie's life will take place at 2:00 pm.

American Cancer Society or to Hospice Savannah, who provided comfort and support during his final hours.
