Rev. Cecil F. Gray, age 85, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at his home.
Rev. Gray was born on March 23, 1940 in Macon, GA, the son of the late W.H. and Myrtle Ethridge Gray. He began his pastoral career in May of 1962 in Dublin, GA. Prior to serving in Dublin he sang with a National Quartet, The Senators. After leaving Dublin in 197o he began serving First Assembly of God Savannah where he served the same congregation for 51 ½ years, retiring in January 2021.
Rev. Gray was preceded in death by his son, David Gray. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Jean T. Gray; sons, Frank Gray, Jr. and Jerry Gray (Jennifer); daughter-in-law, Diana Gray; grandchildren, Sarah (Mark), Whitney (Will), Jared (Rebekah), Kimberly (Shane) and Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Hudson, Asher, and Hendley.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2025 at First Assembly of God Savannah, 1901 Pennsylvania Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Greenwich Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to First Assembly of God Savannah.
