Catherine Louise Montgomery, beloved daughter, and cherished friend, passed away on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at the age of 37. Catherine was born on a bright spring morning, Tuesday, May 10th, 1988, in Springfield, Illinois, and she graced this world with her lively spirit and heart full of adventure.
Catherine's journey began in Springfield and eventually led her to the warm community of Garden City, Georgia, where she found both a home and a career as a long-haul truck driver. Catherine was known for her dedication to her work and the open road, which symbolized the freedom she cherished in life.
A proud alumnus of Bryan Adams High School, Catherine's school years were filled with activity and camaraderie. She grew up in the Girl Scouts, where she forged lifelong friendships and honed her leadership skills. She was an avid softball player, taking to every game with the same enthusiasm and zest for life that defined her person.
Catherine was preceded in death by her father, Donald Joe Montgomery, brother Michael William Grigsby, whose memory she carried fondly in her heart every day. She is survived by her devoted mother, Diana Montgomery of Euless, TX, whose unwavering support was a guiding light in Catherine's life. Her Aunt Sara Brown, residing in Dallas, Texas, also survives her and recalls countless cherished moments shared together.
Catherine's legacy is one of adventure, determination, and love. She is remembered for her vibrant personality and enduring kindness, which left a lasting impression on everyone she met and every mile she traveled.
