Casey Marie Googe

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Casey Marie Googe, who left us on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026, at the age of 47. She was born on Friday, September 7th, 1979, in Savannah, Georgia.

Casey was a Cancer survivor and will be remembered as a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing and caring for her family. She was a proud mother to her sons, Chad Thomas Hadden Jr and Landon Fort, whom she cherished dearly. Her life was marked by her love of children and the joy she found in being a mom. Casey was also a proud graduate of Pineland Christian Academy, earning honors in 1998, and she continued her educational journey at Armstrong College.

A woman of many interests, Casey enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was shopping, boating, or cutting grass, she approached each activity with enthusiasm and joy. Her love for these activities was only surpassed by her love for her family and friends.

Casey is survived by a loving family, including her sons, her father and stepmother, Benjamin "Benny" and Georgia Googe; her stepfather, Daniel Guillard; her sister, Crystal Michelle Riner; her stepsister, Stacy Jacoby; her stepbrother, Mike Crosby; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Lee Muse Guillard, who undoubtedly greeted her with open arms in the afterlife.

A funeral service honoring Casey's life will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel, on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. A visitation will take place prior from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the same location. Following the service, Casey will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
