Brenda Kozlowski Stapleton, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia. She was born on August 19, 1947, in Swainsboro, Georgia.
A graduate of Groves High School, Brenda began her career in healthcare, working with several local doctors, and later demonstrated her leadership as a manager at Chatham Steel. She eventually became a Customer Service Manager with AirTran, where she dedicated her talents until her retirement.
Brenda's life was marked by a passion for speed and competition, evident in her former hobby as a drag car racer and her enjoyment of bowling, which she embraced as a member of a league. In her quieter moments, she could be found immersed in a book or watching her favorite shows on the ID Channel.
Brenda is survived by her loving family, including her son Robert Kozlowski, Sr. and his wife Lori, son Craig Kozlowski and his wife Genia, daughter Vicki Daniels, her sister Wanda Diaz and her husband Luis, as well as her sister Vicki Segura. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren—Brittany, Megan, Robert Jr. "RJ", Lilli, Sophia, and Joshua—and a great-granddaughter, Lillian. Brenda's legacy of kindness and warmth extends to her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Alvie Cecil "Smiley" Stapleton, mother, Edna Mae "Smokey" Scarboro Holmes, and her husband, Gary E. Stapleton.
In honor of Brenda's remarkable life, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel in Savannah, Georgia, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice Savannah.
