It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda Elaine Provost Glinskas, who departed this world on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, at the age of 82. Brenda was born on Sunday, May 9th, 1943, in Ruffin, South Carolina, and most recently resided in Port Wentworth, Georgia.

Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph J. Glinskas, her parents, Hubert and Marjorie Grimes Provost, and nephews Charles P. Hook, Jr. and James L. Hook. She is survived by her devoted sister, Mary Elizabeth Jordan Hook, and beloved niece, Susan Tedesco and her husband, Edgar. Elaine also leaves behind cherished great-niece, Kim Harper and her husband David, as well as great-nephews Louis Marston and his wife Sylvia, and Joshua Marston and his wife Kenisha. Her legacy continues through her great-great-niece, three great-great-nephews, and many dear friends.

Elaine spent many of her adult years living in Pennsylvania, where she built a successful career as a administrator with Honeywell. Known for her dedication and strong work ethic, Elaine was respected by colleagues and friends alike.

Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a committed member of Connection Church, formerly Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Elaine found joy in teaching Sunday school and working with special education programs in Pennsylvania, touching the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.

A graveside service to honor Elaine's life will be held at Ridgeland Cemetery in Ridgeland, South Carolina, on Friday, March 20th, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Family, friends, and all whose lives Elaine touched are invited to join in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived.
