Guyton - Betty Jo Page 94, Entered her heavenly home on Friday February 27, 2026 at the Effingham Care Center in Springfield, Ga. She was born on January 20, 1932 in Appling County, Ga, the daughter of the late Inez Sheffield and Johnny Davis.
In 1949 She married a handsome young sailor, the late Calvin R. Page, who was the love of her life for 66 years. They made their home in Savannah and established their family having three children; Patricia Ann(Deceased), Freddie(Susan) Page and Wayne Page(Sharon-deceased).
Betty Jo Served as secretary in the early years of Bible Baptist Church as well as teaching Sunday School and ladies classes. She was the dearest of the friends with the late Pastor Cecil and Kitty Hodges. Always committed to her church, her faithful testimony preceded her. If you knew Betty then you knew with certainty, she loved her Lord.
For many years, she assisted her husband in the aspects of owning and operating the successful Page Fencing Company in Savannah. After retiring they enjoyed traveling in their motor home until their health declined.
Betty was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed baking delicious cakes. Her butternut, chocolate and fruit cakes will always be remembered.
She also enjoyed embroidery and spent many, many hours making special gifts for those she loved.
Becoming a grandmother brought her so much pride and joy, from the day of their births, they were loved as her own. Ryan Page, Lindsay Chance, and Ashley Page. Her fervent prayers for them will be greatly missed.
After her husbands death, the great grandchildren Brianna (Hauber), Raelyn, Blakely and Harper(Chance) brought her so much love and joy. She affectionately referred to them as her sunshine, rainbow and stars whom she loved a bushel and a peck.
Throughout the years she served others caring for her aunt, mother, daughter, and husband. She could be found at the nursing home with Calvin almost everyday for 5 years.
She touched many lives there sharing the love of her Savior. In her last days she longed for her heavenly home and to hear those wonderful words of Jesus " Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant".
Her absence leaves a great void in the lives of those who loved her, but we also rejoice in knowing Heaven is her eternal home.
Jeremiah 33: 3 "Call Unto Me and I will show the great mighty thing which thou knowest not."
