Bettiann Fallis Floyd

February 11, 1952 — September 21, 2025

Savannah

Bettiann Fallis Floyd, 73, of Savannah, Georgia sadly passed away on September 21, 2025 at Hospice Savannah. Bettiann was born on February 11, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended School in Savannah and Graduated from Savannah High School in 1970.

Her family will remember her as a beautiful piano player, a girls girl, and a lover of all things pretty. She loved to coordinate every outfit from shoes to jewelry, and loved the color purple. Her grandsons were her true joy and she adored her great granddaughter. She would do what she could to help a friend and truly valued loyalty and friendship. She wore her heart on her sleeve but was a true fighter until the end. For many years she was unwell, and the last few months really took its toll. She was never able to just be left alone. She fought hard, but she decided, on her own terms, that she didn't have it in her anymore. She was very proud of that decision for herself.

Bettiann was preceded in death by her parents, Larry E. and Marian Fallis, and her husband, John E. Floyd.

She is survived by one daughter, Bettinna Smith Williams and her husband John, 4 grandsons, James Varner (Carley), Alex Varner (Brianna), Jacob (Alexandra) Williams and Griffin Williams, 1 great granddaughter, Scarlett Varner, a sister, Yolonda (Charles) Blackburn, her sweet counselor, Roberta Williams, many nieces and nephews, 3 other siblings and her last great love, Dale Payne.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Nancy Thompson for years of love and care and Dr. Lisa Dyke for tirelessly working with and for Bettiann. The kindness, love and compassion you showed her for many years was a blessing. The two of you both also respected her decisions when she was so tired herself. Thank you is just not enough.

Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with a private funeral service.
