Mrs. Barbara Garvin Plank, age 85, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Barbara was born on April 26, 1941 in Savannah to the late William F. and Estelle D. Garvin. She was employed by C&S National Bank for many years. After retirement from the banking industry she was employed at Belk and JCPenneys for many years. She fondly enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and shopping. She truly and deeply loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved and cherished all of her other family members and friends. You could always find her eating at one of favorite restaurants, Longhorn's, Carey Hilliards, Loves or Olive Garden on any given day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Robert M. and Jessie W. Plank, Frank Garvin, Marjorie Garvin, Edward Garvin, and James Garvin.

Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Plank, of 65 years; daughter, Lori P. and Anthony Brown; son Robert W. and Susan Plank; grandchildren, Robert Austin Masters, Zackory and Savanna Brown, Kye Hunter and Desiree Plank and Krystin Rilee and Kevin Sladkin; and 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Walter and Dottie Garvin and Edward and Joy Garvin; brother-in-law, David Plank; aunt, Mary Alice Garvin; nieces, nephews, cousins, and dearest friends, Dale Ienuso, Shirley Alexander, Francis McKinley, and Sandy Rewis.

The family would like to personally thank Hospice of Savannah for their impeccable care of Barbara Plank, especially Patty Hudson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 4:00 until 6:00pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406).

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice of Savannah, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
