It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Gage Gibson, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Anthony passed away on Sunday, August 16th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication that will be cherished forever by all who knew him. He was born on Friday, May 5th, 2006, and brought joy and light into the world through his vibrant spirit.
Anthony Gage was a proud Military Police officer in the U.S. Army, a role in which he served with great honor and commitment. He was passionate about his career in the military and had dreams of pursuing culinary school, inspired by his love for cooking. His enthusiasm for both his service and culinary endeavors was infectious, and he eagerly shared this passion with others.
Anthony Gage is survived by his loving parents, Marie Wilkerson and Johnathon, of Townsend, GA; siblings, Tez Gibson, Johnathon Wilkerson Jr., Zachary Wilkerson, Adrianna Wilkerson, Courtney Lewis, Eric Wilkerson, Nicole Matalycki, and Elaina Matalycki; grandparents, Lynn Covenah and Steffanie Baker; and his stepmother, Anne Gibson. Anthony Gage is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Craig Gibson, and grandfather, Roy Covenah.
Family, friends, and community members are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Anthony Gage's life. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 31st, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel in Garden City, Georgia.
The funeral service will take place at the same location on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, at 12:30 pm, officiated by Army Chaplain Griffin.
Following the service, Anthony will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia, at 3:00 pm. These arrangements are lovingly provided by Baker McCullough Funeral Home-Garden City Chapel.
Anthony will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his courage, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his country and dreams. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
