Mrs. Ann Johnson Howard, age 87, of Savannah passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Mrs. Howard was born on January 16, 1939, in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Taylor Osborne Johnson and the late Margaret Bost Johnson. She attended Shelby High School and received a bachelor's degree in business from Meredith College. Ann, along with her husband Don, owned Don Howard Insurance in Conyers, GA for nearly 30 years. After retiring, she and Don moved to Pawleys Island, SC where she was an avid member of the Friends of the Waccamaw Library. Her hobbies included hand quilting, flower arranging, reading, and playing Mahjong. In later years, they moved to Savannah, Georgia to be closer to their children. Ann was happiest when she was on the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Ned Garrett Johnson; and her husband of 58 years, Donald Kelly Howard.

Survivors include her daughter Cheryl Murray (Randy); son, William Howard (Alison); five granddaughters, Erin Murray, Kelly Greer (Evan), Megan Murray (Alex Visintainer), Bayleigh Howard, and Molly Howard; and two great grandsons Finn Whitmore and Liam Murray.
