Hallie "Hal" C. Lane Jr.

February 1, 1950 - March 21, 2022

Hallie "Hal" C. Lane Jr., of Ellabell, GA passed away Monday March 21, 2022, at Candler Hospital. Hal was originally from Thunderbolt and born to the late Hallie C. Lane, Sr. and Wilma (Penny) Shearouse Lane. He retired from ILA local 1475 Clerks and Checkers with over 20 years of service. Hal was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs Football fan and a favorite of Carolina Shag. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Michael Lane and Richard "Ricky" Lane. He is survived by his life long partner of over 20 years, Janelle Smith; daughters, Cecelia Lane and Megan Hodgson; siblings, Gloria Moak, Deby Lain, and Dede Clay; grandchildren, Grace, Abigail, Bryant, Elle, and AJ; extended family, Randall Hayes, David Hayes, and Allen Hayes. A Gathering will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 3pm to 5pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel.
