Bertie F. “Pinkie” Witt, 100, of Savannah passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of January 24, 2022. She was born in Ft. Meade, FL to John J. Mizell, Sr and Lilly B. Mizell on October 27, 1921. She spent her childhood in Bartow, FL before moving to Savannah, GA as a teenager. After graduation she would marry her husband of 57 years, James L. “Chic” Witt. Pinkie was preceded in death by her sister Lucille M. Hubbard, daughter Diann Webster, and husband Chic. She is survived by son James (Deborah) Witt, grandchildren James Witt, Jr, Jackie (Josh) Griffin, Ashley (Mitchell) Jordan, Brooke Webster, brother, John J. Mizell, Jr. and 5 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Bonaventure Cemetery.
